Anime - A Little Snow Fairy Sugar

I love snow! <3 If you're a regular reader you'll have seen my post all about kawaii snow in Tokyo and yesterday the famous Sapporo Snow Festival started! All this snow made me think of one of the most Kawaii anime ever - A Little Snow Fairy Sugar! ^^

A Little Snow Fairy Sugar is a 24 episode anime created by Project Sugar that first aired in 2001-2 in Japan. There was also a 2 episode OVA released. You can buy the DVDs and the related manga that came out after the anime from places like eBay and Amazon pretty easily.

The show is set in a small town in Germany and is based around an 11 year old girl called Saga Bergman whose life is turned upside down when she meets a season fairy!  The series tells the story of a group of apprentice fairies' adventures as they practice to become fully fledged season fairies!

The star of the show is Sugar, the apprentice snow fairy!  She is ultra Kawaii!

To create snow she plays her magical flute ^^

Her absolute favourite food in the world is 'waffo' (well, waffles as us humans know them ^^)

Of course, she's not the only fairy to appear in the show! The series also features her best friends, Salt the apprentice sun fairy and Pepper the apprentice wind fairy.

Here's Salt:

And here's Pepper with her magic harp ^^

The three fairies have lots of adventures together as they try to complete their training in the human world!

The series is super Kawaii and fun! It's a wonderful show for Kawaii lovers of all ages ^^  Here's the opening music, a Kawaii version of Sugar Baby Love ^^

There's not a lot of merchandise available for A Little Snow Fairy Sugar - there was a trading card set, which is super Kawaii, and also a series of figures. They don't pop up for sale very often, so keep your eyes peeled if you are a Snow Fairy fan! ^^

I managed to get the whole base set of regular cards from the trading card set - including a couple of rare and 'special' cards.  Here's some of my favourites:

My absolute favourite card from this series has to be the rare Sugar character card - it's super Kawaii!

One of the awesome extra details of the trading cards is the backs of the card list cards make up bigger scenes featuring Saga and the season fairies!

Here's my figure featuring Saga and a super Kawaii little Sugar standing on her hand! <3

The detail on the figure is really high - from the painting of Saga's eye to Sugar's famous snow rabbit hat! I'll definitely be looking to track down more of these figures!

Catch you later Kawaiisters!! ^^
