Tokidoki Special ^^

Today I'm going to cover my favourite Kawaii brand, Tokidoki. The word Tokidoki means 'sometimes' in Japanese and is the brainchild of Italian designer Simone Legno. The brand has achieved global recognition since it's debut in 2005. The brand is known for its huge cast of characters which adorn all sorts of clothing, accessories, bags and even house hold items. If you have never seen or heard of Tokidoki then read on as you are sure to fall for at least one of the characters!

The brand has a very well known logo which is Kawaii in it's own right and can be found on many items.

The picture above shows the logo of a heart and crossed bones featured on a Kawaii bracelet. The character in the picture is indeed Latte. A cute milk carton with horns and a tail. I found him while pulling this post together and thought he could help me with the photos ^^. Isn't he Kawaii??

This is a necklace Tokidoki produced in collaboration with Smashbox cosmetics. The necklace is quite long and has the brand logo on it with three vampire candies. These can also be found on many other Tokidoki items.

Tokidoki also do house hold items such as the coasters in this pic. It comes as a pack of four, each with a different design on it. They are very high quality and worth tracking down! They also other items such as calendars, laptop/iPad cases, stationery, phone cases, headphones, plushes, charms and cushions.

Tokidoki are very well known for their collaborations which have included Hello Kitty, Sanrio,  Barbie, Street Fighter and Marvel.

Above is a Kawaii t-shirt I got for Christmas which features Thor riding Stellina the Unicorno. The Unicornos are my favourite characters in you can get them on all sorts of items such as key rings and caps. I have bought key rings in the past and converted them into charms for necklaces for added Kawaiiness! As well as their very well established Kawaii characters, you will also find a lot of Tokidoki's items with 'fashionistas' on them. Girls with awesome hair, clothing and tattoos.

Above you will find examples of these 'fashionistas' which are always accompanied by the Kawaii characters. Oh what I'd give to be one of these 'fashionistas' in order to be surrounded by such cuteness ^^.  The most famous Tokidoki items are their all over print bags.

You can find all sorts of designs in these all over print bags. The new Spring collection 2014 includes an all over print inspired by New York City and American Vintage. It's well worth keeping an eye on the website for new ranges and collaborations. It's also worth taking extra care if you spot what you think may be a Tokidoki item as I have seen many copy cat bags and accessories. If you see an item and the price looks too good to be true, it often is. Make sure you check the inside of the bag as the quality on real Tokidoki bags is extremely high, the zips are normally gold or coloured as in the above pic and generally come with a Tokidoki character attached.

I hope you enjoyed today's post Kawaiisters, catch you tomorrow ^^
